Good News: The Rutherford Institute is currently involved in defending a 10 year old boy named Raymond Raines. The case is scheduled to be heard in a federal district court in St. Louis, Missouri. What terrible crime did this young boy commit? He prayed over his lunch! Consequently, on three separate occasions…in full view of other students in the lunchroom…Raymond was forcibly removed from his seat and sent to the principal's office for discipline. His only offense was to bow his head and pray silently over his lunch. On one of the occasions, the principal yanked Raymond from his seat and told him point-blank that he could not pray over his lunch. And if that wasn't enough, the school officials forced him to sit apart from the other students and made fun of his religious beliefs and practices.

John Whitehead (founder and president of Rutherford) said, "No case better exposes the lengths to which certain people will go to separate Christians from the mainstream of our society. No case better underscores the total and absolute necessity of our mission to defend religious freedom and parental rights. Helpless children are now the victims of the ACLU and various anti-religion coalitions…And that's why we're fighting to stop these groups from crushing every expression of faith in our public life."The Christian community in America needs to wake up. The Humanists and Secularists are on the attack…determined to erase the imprint of Christianity from American culture forever. The Church, families, and individual Christians are going to come under increasing attack. Christians cannot remain passive. Evil will not simply go away. When good people do nothing, evil prevails. We are engaged in a cultural and religious war. We must fight back. We can do that through prayer and by taking a public stand for righteousness. Period!
William Penn wrote, "Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants." The ACLU and the activist liberal judges and justices who enable this Socialist organization…do not have a clue when it comes to what our nation’s Founding Fathers intended…when this nation declared itself independent of Great Britain. Furthermore, they don’t understand that the Founders of all fifty states believed exactly the same as did our nation’s Founders…namely, all that we have…and all that we are…we owe to God.
It has become obvious that the un-Constitutional concept of the “Separation of Church and State” (invented by the ACLU and nincompoop judges)…was never contemplated by the Founders of our Republic. Only by twisting and torturing the Constitution have these anti-America, anti-God legal ignoramuses been able to come to the erroneous and flawed conclusion that God is not supposed to be part of our public life. How ludicrous can you be?
As the ACLU supporters must hide their perversions, the ACLU thinks that we should hide any mention of God in our conversations. Our Founders would be ashamed to see what the lawyers of the ACLU have done in their attempts to destroy this nation. (Part 6 will follow.)
