More on Iraq
Sean Hartig sent me some "hard evidence facts".
Take a look at what themedia does not want you to know! This is what we do know about Iraq today:
1. 47 countries have re-established their embassies in Iraq.
2. The Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people.
3. 3100 schools have been rebuilt and renovated* 364 schools are under renovation.* 263 new schools are under construction.*
38 new schools have been recently completed in Iraq.
4. Iraq now has 20 Universities, 46 Colleges, and 4 researchcenters...all up and running.
5. 25 Iraqi students became Fulbright students in the United States(January 2005). What is the Fulbright Program? It is the flagship internationaleducational program sponsored by theUnited States Government. It is designed to "increase mutualunderstanding between the peopleof the United States and the people of other countries." The FulbrightProgram has providedapproximately 275,000 participants...chosen for their academic merit andleadership potential...with the opportunity to observe each others' political, economic, educational, and culturalinstitutions...to exchange ideas and to embark on joint ventures ofimportance to thegeneral welfare of the world's inhabitants. The Fulbright Programprovides grants forGraduate Students, Scholars, Professionals, Teachers, and Administratorsfrom the U.S. and other countries.
6. Iraq now has a Navy and Air Force that is fully operational.

12. Iraqi children under the age of 5...just received their first 2series of polio vaccinations (96% of them).
13. Currently 4.3 million Iraqi children are enrolled in primaryschool.
14. They now have 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers. Their phone usehas gone up 158%.
15. Iraq has an independent media which consists of 75 radio stations,180 newspapers, and 10 TV stations.
You probably did not know this, did you? Why? Because the "LiberalPress" does not tell you positive thingsthat are taking place daily in Iraq. However, the "Liberal Press" will show you photos of "flag burningincidents" at Abu Ghraib, peoplethrowing things at the presidential motorcades...and the bombings...andthe killings, etc.Intentionally or un-intentionally, most of the "Press" seems toundermine the world's perception of theUnited States. This causes minimum and inconsequential support...anddiscourages the American people.Sometimes our "own free press" is our worst enemy! Don't get me wrong,I have defended our freedoms(Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Assembly, Freedom of Religion, Freedomof Speech) for over 35 years.I know a little bit about our freedoms...and defending ourfreedoms...and I can tell you this, they are not free. Therefore, I believe it's wrong for a certain group of people (the loosecannon Press Corps) to always paint a "dark and gloomy" picture of our American people and our greatnation under God. My recommendation to the Press and to anyone is simple: If you don'tlike America, get the heck out and go live in Russia, Liberia, Venezuela, SaudiArabia, Iran, Somalia, orLebanon. Perhaps, you will find peace, tranquility, and your destinythere! We may not be a perfect nation. We may not always make the rightdecisions. We may not be the oldest democracy. We may not have perfect leaders. We may not have always treatedothers with dignity and respect. But through God, blood, seat, andtears, we are a nation of people fromevery country on earth...who are NOT fighting to get out of thiswonderful country; however, tens of thousands are trying to get in every single day. These are my thoughts. Tommy
