The Hearing Ear

A few years ago, I was awakened one morning in Heidelberg, Germany at approximately 5:30 A.M. by the Lord. He does that sometimes, you know. The Lord began talking to me about Jeremiah 5:20 and 6:20 and about our nation called America. The following is what He showed me about the Church in America from the following Scripture: Jer.5:20-31. This vision is as true today as then.

"Tommy, declare this to My people and publish it as well, saying, 'Hear Me now O foolish people who are without understanding. Many of you have eyes, but see not. You have ears, but do not hear. Many of you at one time use to fear Me, but you do not fear (respect) Me anymore as the Supreme Being of the Universe. One day, you will tremble at My very Presence. I'm the One Who placed the sand as the boundary for the seas by a perpetual decree. Even though the waves toss themselves to and fro, they cannot penetrate the set boundary. They may roar, yet they can not pass over it."

“Some of My people have a rebellious heart. Some have even rebelled and walked away from the Truth. Even though I give them rain, both the former and the latter, for their harvest, they still do not fear (respect) Me as their God! I desire to prosper My children, but because of their sins, I have allowed things (material things) to be withheld from them.”

“Among My people are found wicked individuals. Sometimes, they lay wait to trap others or set snares for the innocent ones. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit. Some of them who prey on other Christians have become great in their OWN eyes and even rich at the expense of My Children. They are now fat and dazzled with wickedness. They have forgotten the fatherless and the needy. Yes, some of them are still prospering, but not for long. Shall I not visit them and shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?”

“Amazing and horrible things are being committed in the land. Even some of My ministers teach false doctrine and some of My Church leaders have become slothful and have ruled My people by their own programs. Sadly, this is the way that many of My people have wanted it. It seems that they have loved corrupt leadership. This way, they can continue in their rebellion!”

The Lord then showed me some things in Jer.6, starting with verse 20:

“Some think that they can substitute religious things in place of a genuine relationship with Me. Soon, I will allow stumbling-blocks to be placed before them. My Church in America is now being refined as silver. As the silver is placed in the hot furnace, the dross will be separated from the pure silver. The result: A beautiful vessel. My people are called the salt of the earth. They are to preserve, create thirst in others for Me, and to flavor their communities with life...My Life. Salt that does not flavor or add zest to a stale society...needs to be thrown out because it no longer has any influence in the world!”

FOOTNOTE: As I was listening to the Holy Spirit, He placed some additional thoughts in my heart. I believe that most future elections in America will be based on economical data rather than good morals, Christian ethics, or family values. The candidate who has a premium handle on the economical strategies for the American people and can best convey these concepts will win the elections, regardless of his or her morals or values. We are entering the time of economical wars. He/She who has the gold wins! Where is this leading? It is leading to the World System or World Order of the anti-Christ. Nonetheless, the Christian has a very valuable resource right now at his disposal. It is called time...Time to get out of debt. As the stock markets and world economy is doing well, the Lord is saying to take advantage of this time and get out of debt. Debt is a spirit. Debt is not of God. Debt can kill a great society. Personally, as a student of the Word and as a child of God, I believe that God is giving us the next few years of plenty so that we as Christians can take care of our financial responsibilities. Why? Because afterwards, there is coming a world wide economical collapse like no one has ever experienced previously. He that has a hearing ear, let him hear!
